THE MASKS NIGHTMARE IN SCHOOLS A policy is set aside for the regulation of Covid -19 in primary, secondary and higher institutions. It is mandatory for every student to have at least two masks as part of measures to ward off covid-19, which led to closure of learning institutions 10 months ago. Students were necessarily not in school because of school fees arrears but rather because of insufficient masks and other requirements needed to control the pandemic. The ministry of education was in a race to procure masks for over 10 million school-going children in the country. This plan was put in place but due to insufficient funds, the plan did not make it to the other side of the bridge. Therefore students were left with no choice, but to stay at home with their parents and guardians as they wait for the covid-19 cases to reduce.
