HYGIENE IN LOVE

Love is an affection. It’s that strange feeling that binds us together. Your feelings about someone or something should be crystal clear. Just like glue binds two edges together in clarity, we are supposed to do the same. And being clear means simplicity, humbleness, and purity. The combination of the three aspects fosters a strong and steady bond between people, characterised by affection, as well as in how we perceive things. You say you love someone or something, but your intentions are impure. How then can you be accountable for your actions? When we discuss hygiene in love, we examine actions, words, attention, health status, communication, and connection. What is it that you do well to embrace love? You can’t be stingy with your actions and expect more from your partner. If you show respect and honour, then your partner will be ready to reciprocate. Don’t expect disrespect to change its colour when your turn comes. It’s like a two-sided sword, cutting on both e...

HEALTH FITNESS

Exercise is an activity that requires physical effort, carried out to sustain and improve health and fitness. It is often used for specific purposes such as reducing tummy, improving lung and heart power, and also to relieve the skin of its toxicity. Daily routine is key in controlling the body and its components, making it healthy at all times. It can be done in the gym, at home or on a pitch with good space.  Some of the effective home exercises include: squats, push-ups,lunges, planks, burpees, dancing, jumping rope and running. These are simple activities that can be done with ease; you only need to schedule every bit of it. Scheduling helps in fixing time properly without interfering with other things that need to be done on a daily basis. Another thing to consider is a conducive environment which helps during the process. Unlike dancing and squats, which can be done in a noisy place, the other components need a very peaceful environment. Yoga, for instance need meditation befo...

BE THE PARENT THEY NEED

The society is in a deep, long sleep. Nothing is being done; the so-called village elders are ignoring their role. What they used to do in the 19th century has been abandoned because of a new era, an era which is controlled by AI and the internet. In fact, we have forgotten so much that we now allow what used to be an offence to be a guide in today's life. Yes, the world is changing, and we are expected to adjust. But...is it really an adjustment? Leaving behind beliefs, values and guidance ain't adjustments, rather neglects. And as we know, neglects are paid later, even to the 10th generation.   What you teach your child today should be what you will feel proud of in maybe 2040, if blessed to reach there. How well do you teach your kids values, church and roles respectively? Are you a parent who sits back and watches? Or the one who would look into the issue and solve it before it escalates to a negative perspective. When you decided to become a parent, it was a decision and c...

YOU DESERVE BETTER

Every woman dreams of Mr Right, and every man dreams of a good wife... You call it 'wife material,' but I beg to differ. It is being a good wife, a wonderful mother and a beautiful image to society. You can have all of the qualities, but still fail to be 'wife material' simply because he knows what he is looking for in a woman. Men say they like what they see, ooh yeah, the figure, skin colour, beauty, among others. Yes, they fall for 'physical features...the mountains, rivers and the green vegetation, I mean, as it is. Women, on the other hand, fall for what they hear; what she is told is enough to make her say 'YES' even when he is not worth it. That's why most women end up being with a man of sweet words rather than one with looks. But later fell for some serious mess which only tore her to pieces, unrecognisable. You know the good thing with love is that it grows to show and bring out the true physical, emotional, spiritual and social values of a pe...

MEEKNESS IS NOT WEAKNESS

Matthew 5:1-12, known as the Beatitudes, opens Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, where he teaches that true blessedness belongs to the humble, merciful, pure in heart, and those persecuted for righteousness. These verses flip worldly values upside down, promising the kingdom of heaven, comfort, and satisfaction to those who rely on God. Verse 5 notes, ''Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land"  Meekness refers to the humble and gentle, not the aggressive.  This Bible verse reminds us that you can be humble and gentle no matter how strong you are, and choosing not to fight does not mean you are weak. It shows that you are strong enough to fight the opponent, but rather control yourself to avoid unnecessary dramas. We clearly notice that God doesn't like those who use their strength uncontrollably. He expects us to practice self-control, which is the best achieved way of conflict resolution in our lives.  The subject matter also refers to''power und...
