MEEKNESS IS NOT WEAKNESS

Matthew 5:1-12, known as the Beatitudes, opens Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, where he teaches that true blessedness belongs to the humble, merciful, pure in heart, and those persecuted for righteousness. These verses flip worldly values upside down, promising the kingdom of heaven, comfort, and satisfaction to those who rely on God. Verse 5 notes, ''Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land"  Meekness refers to the humble and gentle, not the aggressive.

This Bible verse reminds us that you can be humble and gentle no matter how strong you are, and choosing not to fight does not mean you are weak. It shows that you are strong enough to fight the opponent, but rather control yourself to avoid unnecessary dramas. We clearly notice that God doesn't like those who use their strength uncontrollably. He expects us to practice self-control, which is the best achieved way of conflict resolution in our lives.

The subject matter also refers to''power under control" or "restrained strength," rather than weakness or cowardice. It is characterized as a,gentle, humble, and teachable attitude toward God and others, involving a submissive spirit that trusts God's control. Key aspects include not demanding one's own way and possessing a calm, gentle spirit, especially in handling conflict.

How much restrained or gentle are you? And how much angry can you get when wronged? these two phenominals help us know when to quit no  matter how bad we are wronged. Yes we get wronged almost daily, and our hearts grieve, a feeling that cannot just stop instantly but after some deep meditation on yourself and realising that fighting is not the only solution to every thing. No matter how angry you can be, always spare that inner side of you and reflect before acting.

So much is happening in today's society. A lot of injustices, abuse and even violence has been made a daily routine on the calender. So much hurting is done by the people around us, those we cherish and hope in. But the opposite is always the latter,we get deceived and hurt. Some even remind us that, ''you can't do nothing,'' a phrase that tears our hearts beyond. A loved one telling you that he/she can harm you and there is nothing you gonna do to them is kinda gaslighting. They oftenly want to see your next move. If told so and you feel like initiating the planned fight, then somehow you are not wise. what a wise person would do is to try and keep silent, be gentle even at your lowest and walk away. This simple act will leave the gaslighter ambushed and look stupid to him/herself.

Choosing peace over violence is a win to those who practice self control even when we feel earth is breaking. Staying strong and being a single brick in a wall bears us greatness other that loss. Being gentle even when you feel strong as Goliath is a big win because you never know the David that could defeat your spirit.

*Keep your spiritual health straight.

*Stop abuse, injustices and violence.

*Be aware of gaslighting and planned fights.

*Always try to be gentle; meekness is the only key to solve the injustices caused by anger issues

Love one another and stay safe and blessed. Happy new month of Love
